A 200,000 Years Old Metropolis found in Africa

They have always been there. People noticed them before. But no one could remember who made them — or why? Until just recently, no one even knew how many there were. Now they are everywhere — thousands — no, hundreds of thousands of them! And the story they tell is the most important story of humanity. But it’s one we might not be prepared to hear.
Something amazing has been discovered in an area of South Africa, about 150 miles inland, west of the port of Maputo. It is the remains of a huge metropolis that measures, in conservative estimates, about 1500 square miles. It’s part of an even larger community that is about 10,000 square miles and appears to have been constructed — are you ready — from 160,000 to 200,000 BCE!
The image [top of page] is a close-up view of just a few hundred meters of the landscape taken from google-earth. The region is somewhat remote and the “circles” have often been encountered by local farmers who assumed they were made by some indigenous people in the past. But, oddly, no one ever bothered to inquire about who could have made them or how old they were.
This changed when researcher and author, Michael Tellinger, teamed up with Johan Heine, a local fireman and pilot who had been looking at these ruins from his years flying over the region. Heine had the unique advantage to see the number and extent of these strange stone foundations and knew that their significance was not being appreciated.

Five -year-old girl found living with cows can only communicate by mooing

A five-year-old girl has been found living with cows in rural Russia. The ‘feral’ girl is said to be unable to speak and can only communicate by mooing.
The ‘feral’ girl was rescued by Russian police after a neighbour in the Solikamsk district in the Ural Mountains raised the alarm.
The unnamed child does not know how to eat properly, preferring to drink milk from a saucepan, police officials have said.
The authorities were called in by a worried neighbour living close to the small farm run by the girl’s parents, who are believed to be alcoholics.
Officials said the neighbour told them ‘a little girl is living with cows.

Bloated mystery creature puzzles New Yorkers

The creature was spotted under the Brooklyn Bridge by Denise Ginley, who sent photos of it to New York-based news website Gothamist on July 22.
Ms Ginley said the animal was about 60cm long from head to tail and asked: “Is this another incarnation of the Montauk Monster, or just the biggest rat in the city?”
Photos of the carcass, which Ms Ginley dubbed the “East River Monster”, quickly spread throughout US media, with people suggesting it was a washed up rat until the New York City Parks Department claimed it was a pig.
But this was quickly disputed, with people pointing out the photos showed the creature had claws and not trotters like a pig.

Hidden Rift Valley Discovered Beneath West Antarctica Reveals New Insight Into Ice Loss

xperts from the University of Aberdeen and British Antarctic Survey (BAS) made the discovery below Ferrigno Ice Stream, a region visited only once previously, over fifty years ago, in 1961, and one that is remote even by Antarctic standards.
Their findings, reported in Nature this week reveal that the ice-filled ancient rift basin is connected to the warming ocean which impacts upon contemporary ice flow and loss.
The West Antarctic Ice Sheet is of great scientific interest and societal importance as it is losing ice faster than any other part of Antarctica with some glaciers shrinking by more than one metre per year.
Understanding the processes that influence ice loss from West Antarctica is important to improve predictions of its future behaviour in a warming world.

Alien Grim Reapers in UFOs go Medieval spreading the Black Plague Of Death!

This scenario has come up many times in Ufology from the Ancient Aliens episode to William Bramley’s book The Gods Of Eden. Mysterious grim reaper types who were spotted on the outskirts of cities and villages shortly before outbreaks. These strange beings wielded scythe like weapons that released a “mist” that made everyone infected leading to their deaths. Aliens playing God from above to a point of depopulating the Earth is what this sounds like to me on many levels of warped darkness.
This would mean that aliens of some type do indeed think they are our God on some level or some would argue doing God’s work. Well of course I believe God is an alien on many levels or many aliens who were responsible for the creation of the Earth and seeding and colonization of mankind. The question to ask is why would they feel the need to exterminate mankind on such a hostile level?
There are 12,000 year old Indian texts that speak of alien beings in flying machines battling it out with what sounds like Nuclear technology. Some spots on the Earth have even been found that resemble battle grounds laced with still ever present radiation poison. The sand turned to glass in similar fashion to that of sites of Nuclear testing in the Nevada desert. Aliens battling over parts of the Earth and for humanity itself. Were the people they trying to exterminate part of some other alien groups colonization program? So many questions and so little answers.
Ancient history is filled with UFO sightings from Columbus seeing a UFO before he discovered America or well thinks he discovered America. When we all know the Natives discovered long before Columbus and had it practically raped from them through his tyranny. Natives even greeted him asking if he was from the Heavens and of course like most conquering tyrants used this to his advantage. What I would like to call the Feathered Serpent syndrome of course relating to the plight of Quezacotl. Of course another tale of a white guy pretending to be a god then conquering said civilization.

Debt crisis: Greece to run out of money by August 20

Greece may run out of money and go bankrupt by Aug 20, a British government analysis of the ongoing eurozone crisis has warned.
The beleaguered country will have to refinance billions of euros worth of government bonds in less than a month and requires international assistance — which may not be forthcoming — to repay the money.
International inspectors arrived back in Greece on Tuesday to assess the country’s austerity programme with European officials warning that it was “hugely off track”.
David Cameron is now receiving daily written updates on the deteriorating situation and was warned earlier this week that a Greek bankruptcy in the next month is now a serious possibility.

Scientists Read Monkeys’ Minds, See What They’re Planning to Do Before They Do it

Neurologists working with monkeys at Washington University in St. Louis to decode brain activity have stumbled upon a rather surprising result. While working to demonstrate that multiple parameters can be seen in the firing rate of a single neuron (and that certain parameters are embedded in neurons only if they are needed to solve the immediate task), they also found that they could read their monkeys’ minds.
This isn’t exactly ESP, but it is really interesting. The researchers came to find out that by analyzing the activity of large populations of neurons, they could discover what actions the monkeys were planning before they made a single motor movement. By monitoring neural activity, the researchers could essentially see what the monkey was thinking about doing next.
This discovery occurred largely because the two monkeys involved in the experiment had already demonstrated very different cognitive styles. One is a bit hyperactive, eager to begin and complete each task even before being given the signal to begin. The other is more methodical, waiting for the entire breadth of the task to be revealed before making a motion.

American fast food diet unleashes disease epidemic sweeping across Asia

Though increasingly looked down upon here in the U.S. as a sign of slothfulness and low socioeconomic status, routine fast food consumption in some parts of the world is actually considered to be culturally desirable. But as foreigners progressively adopt the American fast-food lifestyle in place of their own native foods, rates of chronic disease are skyrocketing, including in East and Southeast Asia where diabetes and heart disease rates are off the charts.
According to a recent study published in the journal Circulation, globalization continues to usher U.S.-style fast food into East Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia, where natives, especially those from the younger generations, are quickly adopting things like hamburgers and fries in place of their traditional fare. And based on the data, this Western fast food craze is responsible for a significant uptick in cases of diabetes and heart disease.
For their study, a team of researchers from the University of Minnesota(UM) School of Public Health analyzed data on more than 60,000 Singaporeans of Chinese descent. Study participants were interviewed beginning in the 1990s, and followed and tracked for about ten years. At the end of the study, researchers compared the participants’ eating habits to rates of chronic disease.

‘Minority Report’ software hits the real world

The software behind the film “Minority Report” — where Tom Cruise speeds through video on a large screen using only hand gestures — is making its way into the real world.
The interface developed by scientist John Underkoffler has been commercialized by the Los Angeles firm Oblong Industries as a way to sift through massive amounts of video and other data.
And yes, the software can be used by law enforcement and intelligence services. But no, it is not the “pre-crime” detection program illustrated in the 2002 Steven Spielberg sci-fi film.
Kwin Kramer, chief executive of Oblong, said the software can help in searching through “big data” for information. It can also create souped-up video-conference capabilities where participants share data from multiple devices like smartphones and tablets, integrated into a large video display.

Greenland Ice Melt, Measured By NASA Satellites, Reaches Unprecedented Level

Unprecedented melting of Greenland’s ice sheet this month has stunned NASA scientists and has highlighted broader concerns that the region is losing a remarkable amount of ice overall.
According to a NASA press release, about half of Greenland’s surface ice sheet naturally melts during an average summer. But the data from three independent satellites this July, analyzed by NASA and university scientists, showed that in less than a week, the amount of thawed ice sheet surface skyrocketed from 40 percent to 97 percent.
In over 30 years of observations, satellites have never measured this amount of melting, which reaches nearly all of Greenland’s surface ice cover.
When Son Nghiem of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory observed the recent melting phenomenon, he said in the NASA press release, “This was so extraordinary that at first I questioned the result: Was this real or was it due to a data error?”

More odd-colored lobsters turning up in the catch – but why?

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) – When a 100-pound shipment of lobsters arrived at Bill Sarro’s seafood shop and restaurant last month, it contained a surprise – six orange crustaceans that have been said to be a 1-in-10-million oddity.
“My butcher was unloading them and said, ‘Oh, my gosh, boss, they sent us cooked dead lobsters,'” said Sarro, owner of Fresh Catch Seafood in Mansfield, Mass. “He then picked one up and it crawled up his arm.”
Reports of odd-colored lobsters used to be rare in the lobster fishing grounds of New England and Atlantic Canada. Normal lobsters are a mottled greenish-brown.
But in recent years, accounts of bright blue, orange, yellow, calico, white and even split lobsters – one color on one side, another on the other – have jumped. It’s now common to hear several stories a month of a lobsterman bringing one of the quirky crustaceans to shore.

248 human embryos found trashed in Russian forest

A fishing trip in Russia’s Urals ended with cries of horror as a man found canisters filled with human embryos, some already shaped to baby bodies.
Lids on the bright blue containers apparently unlocked as the canisters hit the ground, and many embryos spilled out. The little bodies, no longer than 15 centimeters, shrank, turning into mummies.
“A friend of mine called at night and said he went finishing and wanted to get some wood for his fire. He found some abandoned water canisters and wanted to take them for his house. And when he came up, he saw… little baby bodies,” a local told Russia’s Channel 4.
Arriving Monday morning, police found 248 embryos aged 12-16 weeks in and around the four canisters. Labels attached to tiny hands and legs listed family names of assumed mothers and some digit codes, which may refer to the pregnancy period, date of abortion or the hospital where the body originated from.
